Julia Butterfly Hill lived in a 1,000 year-old redwood tree for two years without touching the ground, as part of a successful call worldwide attention to the destruction of California’s ancient redwoods. She has addressed the U.N., Congress, and ongoing environmental and social justice issues around the world.
